Professional Learning Programs
We have three programs for Community Languages teachers running face-to-face and/or online. The Foundation program gives you the skills for teaching in Australia; the Advanced gives high level planning and teaching skills, and the Leadership and Management Programs are for school principals, executive or management committee. Foundation Program
The Foundation is a 60-hour professional-learning program for teachers working in Community Languages Schools.

Advanced Program
The Advanced is a 60-hour program for community languages schools teachers and those who have completed the Foundation.

Leadership Program
The Community Languages Leadership program is three modules (two 15-hour and one 25 hour) for CL school principals, executive and/or members of management committees.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY ASSESSEMENT
This test provides evidence of your language proficiency. It assesses minimum vocational proficiency to the equivalent level of 2-3 years undergraduate study.

This portal brings together available resources to support teaching both in out-of-hours community languages schools and primary and secondary schools.
BECOME A TEACHER
SICLE is offering a pathway program to teacher accreditation If you are a teacher in a community language school with higher education qualifications and want to become a qualified teacher in Australia by completing a Master of Teaching.
LANGUAGE PROGRESSIONS
The Language learning progressions are classroom/teacher-based assessment tools which bring together teaching and curriculum. They describe student achievement and the development of language learning
